Klatcher: Sell Premium Online Content

September 3rd, 2008 by Shai Coggins

Klatcher Sell Premium Content

If you’ve ever considered selling premium content on your blogs or sites, then Klatcher might be a third party service that you might like to look in to. It’s free to use - and you can upload any type of files - text, photos, videos, podcasts, and other documents. But, the only guideline is for publishers to offer at least 10% of their uploaded content for sale.

They offer 65% revenue share (based on content sale price) with publishers. And, it’s all payable via Paypal.

Also, they have offered 10 cents per 99 views to all publishers with a US bank account. But, I’m not certain how long this offer will last.

I haven’t given it a full go just yet, so I’m not sure how the service works. And since I’m based in Australia, their offer of pay-per-view isn’t something I can check.

In any case, if you try it out, I’d be interested to hear from you.

Anyway, for more ideas, here’s a video on Klatcher:

As Seen on TV Products

September 2nd, 2008 by Zac Johnson

I’ve been noticing a lot of new “As Seen on TV” offers coming available on a bunch of networks lately. What’s great about these offers, is that the branding and advertising has already been done for you. You just need to make sure that when people go online to search for reviews or deals on these products, that you get to them first. Almost everyone has seen the “ShamWow” commercials and “Gold for Cash“… in fact, we’ve probably seen them so many times now, that the actual commercials are branded into our minds.

Here are just a few of the latest “As Seen on TV” products I have come across on networks lately.

SHAMWOW!
The ever popular Shamwow offer is now available through HydraNetwork. Affiliates earn $8.00 per lead, which is a $19.95 and $7.95 shipping purchase.

PEDIPAWS
This one is rapidly growing in size and being seen across more TV stations then ever before. Currently available on MarketLeverage, affiliates earn $12.00 per lead, on a $19.99 and $7.99 shipping purchase.

POCKET FISHERMAN
The Pocket Fisherman offer isn’t seen as often on TV, but it does provide for the perfect opportunity for you to target to an already established market, which is fisherman & fishing. In addition to ppc marketing, you can also target towards people interest in fishing through social networks and site placement ads on Google Adwords. Through HydraNetwork, affiliates are paid $12.00 per lead and all $29.95 and $9.95 shipping purchases.

Something I really like about these offers, are that most of them have the actual video commercials that you see on TV, on their landing page. The best way to go about creating sites or campaigns for these offers, is to setup a reviews or comparison web site, then try and target the product directly and any competitor/related search terms. The majority of people looking for information on these products, are usually ready to buy. Make sure you make the process easy for them to get to the actual offer page, so they can place their order.

Political Branding: Obama Is A Mac, McCain A PC?

September 2nd, 2008 by jim@jimkukral.com (Jim Kukral)

Today I’m airing a conversation I had about branding with David Brier from www.RisingAbovetheNoise.com. David has a book coming out entitled Defying Gravity and Rising Above the Noise.

Obama Is A Mac, McCain A PC?

So, since branding is near and dear to my heart, I had David on the show to give his take on the subject. We talked about our definitions of branding, as well as the current branding efforts of the US political Presidential candidates. We both agreed that Obama is the Mac and McCain is the PC. Your take? Interesting discussion.

We also talk about McCain’s choice of choosing Governor Palin as VP and how that relates to his branding goal for his campaign. Then we both talk about how Apple is the best branded company in the world. You’ll enjoy this podcast so please listen and leave your thoughts?

Here are the show notes:

What is your definition of branding?
Branding is the experience you have with it
Branding tips: have fun!
Identify your target audience to develop your branding message
What’s the difference between branding and marketing?
Political branding. Mccain is pitching McCain. Obama is pitching change.
Mac vs. PC analogy.
Choosing Palin was a marketing move that effects the overall brand.
Can you fake fun? Zune failed.
Apple is the best brand in the world.

Web Warrior Tools: Affiliate Programme

September 2nd, 2008 by Shai Coggins

Recently, I came across this affiliate site called Web Warrior Tools. And, I was immediately attracted to its clean, simple look. When I signed up and checked it out, I found the process quite easy and simple as well. Then, I found out that it was started by bloggers Leo Babauta from ZenHabits and Glen Stansberry of LifeDev.

Basically, the products they sell at the moment are ebooks related to business, money, lifestyles, and technology. Some of its sample products include: The Beginner’s Guide to Podcasting and Jump Start Your Work Space. Many of their products are well priced and affordable.

They run an affiliate programme that pays resellers 30% from the sale price. Plus, if you recruit other resellers, you can also receive a tiered commission from their sales. And, they offer to pay via Paypal. So far, I have not seen any payment threshold and other restrictions on their site. So, we’ll see how it goes.

If you do try it out, let me know. If you have other thoughts on Web Warrior Tools’ products and services, I’d love to hear about them too. If I learn anything else, as always, I’d be reporting them right here.

September Goals & Blog Contest Winners

September 2nd, 2008 by Zac Johnson

This should be a very exciting month! In less than 10 days I will be headed to Florida for IzeaFest and nearly a week later I’ll be off to Las Vegas for BlogWorld. My personal goal for the month is to make at least 30 posts this month (if not more). I’ve only been averaging around 15-20 post per month… leaving many visitors with prior days new content. In addition to putting more effort on this blog, I’m going to try and go live with another blog or two this month. (One big one as a new hobby/case study… and see if I can setup a few others for individual offers)

If you have any ideas for new posts or for case studies, please feel free to leave a comment or send over an email. I also encourage you to follow me on twitter and subscribe to my newsletter.

In my recent “Affiliate Marketing & Blog Contests” post, I listed some of the current contest promotions going on across the web, and a chance for anyone commenting on the post to receive a free t-shirt. Three random comments were selected and the winners are: Trisha Lyn Fawver, Miguel Alvarez and Eva White. I’ll continue this same type of promotion again, but this time it will be awarded to the top 5 commenters for the month.

What are some of your goals for this September, and who will be able to make it to IzeaFest and BlogWorld this year?

Don’t forget to visit www.ZacJohnson.com and comment on new posts! Top Commenters are rewarded with fun prizes every month!

Affiliates

In true JMMO Show Me The Money tradition, I’m sharing with you a report on a first payment from an affiliate experiment. This time, it’s from The Pepperjam Network. Yes, I received my first payment via Paypal with them the other day. Woohoo!

If you want to check out my previous blog posts about Pepperjam, here’s one where I talked about their Blogger Incentive Programme. And, this one where I announced that I signed up with them and started experimenting with their service.

So, if you want to try it yourself, Sign up with the Pepperjam Network today. They do pay via Paypal, with a payment threshold of $25 in the cycle. If you don’t reach that threshold in a month, it gets rolled over to the next month. It took me just over a month from sign-up to payment.

And yes, I believe they’re still running their blogger their blogger incentive programme and sign-up bonuses.

If you’ve received your first payment from Pepperjam too, let us know right here.

Blogcritics: How To Build & Sell Your Web Business For Millions

August 29th, 2008 by jim@jimkukral.com (Jim Kukral)

blogcritics_logo Blogcritics: How To Build & Sell Your Web Business For MillionsEric Olsen recently sold his Blogcritics.org to Technorati. Here’s a conversation I had with him about the sale. Eric is a dynamic individual who, by his own admission, failed “many times” with projects and businesses over his years on this planet.

Sounds like a serial entrepreneur, doesn’t it? This is a great reminder to all of us to keep trying and to get back up on the horse!

So now, here we find Eric with a sale of his “baby” to Technorati. We talk about the sale and about how he feels about it. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to do what Eric did? Listen to this podcast for some insight into how he did it and how you could do it too.
