Here’s how you can participate. Take a picture or video of yourself and your flip and upload it to Flickr with the tag “myflipcamera”. I’ll feature all the images and/or videos here on JimKukral.com.
Did I mention that orange is the best? :) Show some pride in your Flip camera color choice. Orange will win!
Over the last few years, I’ve been following various products, articles and newsletters from Trent Steele. Trent is the manager of the Internet Business Tools, among other online products. It’s one of Trent’s latest sites.
Internet Business Tools has a list of online business products that target people who wish to make money online - from building software empires and owning website templates to targeted email lists and fax marketing. However, you do not need to buy any of those products to benefit from the site, as it offers a free newsletter where each issue contains news, latest updates, and a free downloadable gift. Some of these “downloadable gifts” may even be sold by you - and you get to keep the profits.
If you want to know whether I’ve bought any products recommended by Trent Steele or not, I’m happy to say that yes, I have. Some of them are really great - and had no regrets. I’ve found some of them useful.
Of course, there are products that will not appeal to certain people. I’ve bought some of those too.
But, it depends on where you are in your online business - and what you wish to do.
Disclosure/Disclaimer: The Internet Business Tools site is connected with myHelpHub. And, I am an affiliate of myHelpHub. However, I will not make any money if you sign up for the newsletter. That’s completely free. I will only be given a small commission from the company if you buy any of their products using my affiliate link.
Loren Feldman says he’s a genius and I’m a dope. Yep, he’s talking about me, Shawn, Sam and Lisa for our little puppet spoof/online war thing we made up around my Twittermethis project. Here’s the latest Geekcast where we come come clean about the whole thing.
So if you haven’t been following the drama, here’s a good rundown from Kevin at System0. Anyway, as you’ll hear in the video below, I think Feldman is a funny and talented dude and he’s also very smart. I do think he’s got some issues though. My biggest point is that he doesn’t own shtick on the Internets. Anyone can do what he did, even badly like we did, and make it work. Yeah, he does it better, but so what? It can be done, by anyone.
The funniest part about all of this is now he’s super pissed at us/me for doing what we did and he’s unfollowed and blocked me on Twitter and is now insulting me publicly. It doesn’t matter, he did the same to everyone else he’s now good buddies with, so I imagine you’ll be seeing us on video together hamming it up in 6 months someplace. I’m open to that. I think the guy is funny as hell. If not, I’ll live. I’m sure he will too.
FYI, 1939Media on Twitter isn’t me or anyone else I know. If we were going to do that we’d tell you we did it.
Got another elevator pitch from Onemansgoal.com, a blog in the making money online niche. What do you think of his pitch? Pretty good I though. I wish he would have said his name though? Isn’t that important?
Want to have your elevator pitch reviewed? Send me your video and I’ll post it here on my blog.
1. It’s 3 years old! It celebrated its 3rd blogiversary last 6th of April - and I’ve completely missed it.
2. It shares my birthday. I didn’t realise it before but I actually started this blog the same day as my birthday. I must’ve been really bored that day. ;)
3. I’ve never celebrated JMMO’s anniversary - ever. At least, not that I can remember. If this were a marriage, this blog would be so upset by now. Heh.
With these in mind, I thought I needed to do 3 things:
1. Make an About page. It’s something I’ve put off doing all these years, strangely enough. I’m a big fan of ‘About pages’ - and I’ve never done it for JMMO. So, today, I finally created an About Just Make Money Online page. It provides some background on JMMO and myself.
2. Think of a way to celebrate JMMO’s anniversary. I’m still stuck at the moment, so all suggestions are welcome. Shall we hold a contest? A giveaway? A virtual party?
3. Well… I’m pretty sure I had a #3 in mind too. Or maybe, I had more. But at this time, that’s it.
This elevator pitch comes from France! Ryan O’Connell of www.ovineyards.com gives us his pitch. Big problem on the pitch is that he never identifies himself or his family or his company/brand. Nothing about the type of wine he’s making that’s special/unique either. Other than that, what do you think?
Send in your pitch!!! Email me the link to your video and I’ll post it here!
Look, the people they mention in that piece are all complete workaholics. Anyone who works like that is going to have problems. You need to ask yourself what is most important? Health or money? I choose health. Now I need to go lose some weight and prove it. But you get my point?
Joel Libava, my Cleveland buddy, and super franchise expert sent in his elevator pitch. I think best one yet? Except for the Pink Floyd ‘Shine on you crazy diamond’ track in the background, which now means I’m going to have to listen to Dark Side of the Moon this Monday morning. I think it would have been better without the music track Joel, but great job.
What do you think of Joel’s pitch? Where’s yours? Record and upload someplace and send me the link. I’ll feature it here.
In the U.S., it’s National Small Business Week between 21st to 25th of April 2008. The event is meant to acknowledge the contribution of small businesses in American economy. If you’re in the U.S., what are you doing to celebrate/observe this occasion? It’ll be interesting to know what small online business people are planning to do for this event.
Since I’m in Australia, we don’t really have events here to go to. However, I recognise that there are many U.S.-based JMMO readers and friends. So, I would just like to encourage folks to check out blogs like Small Business Boomers, Biz Chicks Rule, and the rest of the Business blogs here at b5media.
